Privacy policy
This policy explains what information PlentiFlower collects, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers the plentiflower.com website, the free PlentiFlower demo, and the PlentiFlower apps. PlentiFlower is run by PlentiFlower LLC, a Washington limited liability company (“PlentiFlower,” “we,” “us”).
The short version
- The website and demo don't use cookies and don't ask you to sign in.
- Gardens you make in the demo stay in your own browser. We never receive them.
- If you fill in one of our forms, we use your answers only to reply to you and to tell you about PlentiFlower.
- We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
- In the apps, you'll be able to export your data or delete your account at any time.

1. The website and the demo
Visiting the website
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time, so it can deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We don't use this information to identify you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies or track you across other sites, and it gives us only totals, such as pages viewed, the sites that sent visitors, and the country and type of device.
Our fonts and images are served from plentiflower.com itself, so browsing our pages doesn't send your information to other companies.
The demo
The demo saves the gardens, plantings, journal entries and settings you create in your browser's local storage, on your own device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. Choosing “Reset the demo,” or clearing your browser's data for plentiflower.com, deletes them. The demo's Suggestions are sample answers written ahead of time; what you type into the demo isn't sent anywhere.
Cookies
The website and demo don't set cookies. The demo uses your browser's local storage only to save your sample garden and a few settings (such as light or dark mode).
2. Our forms
Our Get early access and Send feedback forms are Google Forms. If you choose to fill one in, Google collects your answers for us, and Google's privacy policy covers how Google handles them. Google may set its own cookies on the form pages.
We receive what you enter, such as your name, email address, the kind of growing you do and your feedback. We use it to reply to you, to invite you to try or test PlentiFlower, to tell you when the apps launch and to improve PlentiFlower. To stop hearing from us, or to have your answers deleted, email plentiflower@gmail.com.
3. The PlentiFlower apps (coming soon)
The PlentiFlower apps aren't available yet, so they don't collect or share anything today. Before they launch, we'll update this policy to say exactly what they collect, why, how long we keep it and who helps us run them, and post the new version here with a new effective date.
AI Suggestions
PlentiFlower's Suggestions are powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. In today's demo, Suggestions are sample answers written ahead of time, and nothing you type is sent to Anthropic or anyone else.
In the apps, when you ask for a Suggestion, we'll send your question and the garden details needed to answer it (such as your beds, plants, zone and season) to Anthropic through its commercial API. We won't send your name or email address. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, Anthropic processes this information on our behalf only to provide the service, doesn't use it to train its models, and automatically deletes it within 30 days. Anthropic may keep it longer only where the law requires or to enforce its usage policy, for example if a request is flagged as misuse. You can read more in Anthropic's Privacy Center.
4. How we use information
- To reply to you and give support.
- To invite you to try or test PlentiFlower and tell you when the apps launch, if you've asked us to.
- To keep PlentiFlower secure and prevent misuse.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can improve it.
We don't sell your personal information, we don't share it for targeted advertising, and we don't use it to build advertising profiles.
5. Who we share it with
Today, only these companies help us run PlentiFlower, and each receives only what it needs:
- Cloudflare, which hosts our website (and Cloudflare Web Analytics, if we turn it on).
- Google, which runs our forms.
When the apps launch, we'll list here every company that helps run them and what each one receives.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to protect it.
6. How long we keep it
We keep form answers until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them for the purposes above. We'll explain how long the apps keep information before they launch.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop using it for a particular purpose. When the apps launch, you'll be able to export your data and delete your account yourself, in the app's settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever they live. Email plentiflower@gmail.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.
8. Children
PlentiFlower's content is kid-friendly, but account owners must be 13 or older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email plentiflower@gmail.com and we'll delete it.
The planned classroom version, PlentiFlower Learn, will have its own privacy terms, written for schools and student privacy laws, before it launches.
9. Security
Our website is served over an encrypted connection, and we limit who can see form answers. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Our services are run in the United States, and your information is stored and processed there.
10. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy as PlentiFlower changes, including before each app launches, and post the new version here with a new effective date. If we make a significant change, we'll give notice on the website or in the app before it takes effect.
